Man detained after crashing car into his home and starting fire

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was detained this morning after crashing a car into his own home and starting a fire.

It happened around 9 a.m. at a home near Rose and Walnut, just northeast of Caruthers in Fresno County.

Investigators say the man was under the influence of meth when he crashed his car into his mobile home.

The fire quickly spread and the home was a total loss. The charges the man faces this evening are unclear.
