3.4-magnitude earthquake hits near San Joaquin

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 3.4-magnitude earthquake shook parts of Western Fresno County on Sunday night.

The quake occurred around 10:10 p.m. and was centered about 17 miles southwest of the town of San Joaquin and approximately 20 miles north of Coalinga, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Initially, the USGS measured the earthquake at 3.6 but later downgraded it.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.
