Apartment complex in Central Fresno bursts into flames, investigation underway

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Central Fresno near Valeria and Belmont.

Residents gathered in the courtyard as firefighters took pictures of a couch that is believed to have started the blaze.

Neighbors originally saw smoke coming from the apartment and called 911.

Three people were displaced and the unit where the fire started is destroyed.
