38-year-old man shot in the chest in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering from a shooting in Northwest Fresno.

Just after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, neighbors say they heard 5-6 gunshots. Police say a man was shot in his upper torso but is going to be okay.

Neighbors standing on their front lawn were witness to the latest act of violence in northwest Fresno. One of them, who wants to remain anonymous, saw the devastation firsthand. "He was bleeding, And saying it hurts."

Fresno Police say a 38-year-old man was shot in the chest but should survive his injuries.

Police are searching for the suspects who drove away in a blue Chevy Tahoe.
