49ers calendar features players with Bay Area shelter puppies
The San Francisco 49ers aim to help out Bay Area shelter dogs with a calendar featuring players and pups.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A cool new calendar has come out featuring your favorite San Francisco 49ers and some very sweet shelter dogs. The cover star is running back Carlos Hyde.

You can get a copy of the 49ers and K-Niners calendar Thursday and help Bay Area shelters.

The Silicon Valley Humane Society is hosting a calendar signing Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. We hear former linebacker Parys Haralson and some of the Gold Rush cheerleaders will also be at the event.

The calendars are $25 and all proceeds benefit Bay Area shelters.
