KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Kings County town is hoping to upgrade their water system but they need the community's help. The Armona Community Service District wants to add a pipeline to their waste water treatment plant to recycle water. They said it would make the system more efficient.

The state of California will give them a $338,000 grant for the project but only if the community can prove they need financial help. Income surveys have gone out to everyone to help prove the requirements. Self-Help Enterprises sent the surveys out, but right now only half the surveys they need have been returned. Self-Help Enterprises said the information on the surveys is confidential.
