FRESNO, Calif. -- If you see smoke near the south entrance of Yosemite, it may be from a controlled burn.
Firefighters are expected to start burning 175-acres near Wawona on Tuesday morning. The prescribed burn will reduce fire fuel in the area and help the eco-system. Once it starts, there could be smoke in the area for about a week.
Visitors may also notice fire trucks around the southern entrance to Yosemite off Highway 41.
