FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) -- Fireworks are to blame for an early morning brush fire in Fresno County and crews are still at the scene.
Flames were spotted at about 2:30 Friday morning behind the fence of a large home on Highway 168 near Millerton Road.
Officials said a firework ignited near the roadway sparked the fire. It charred nearly five acres and firefighters had to cut a whole in the fence to battle the flames.
A firefighter suffered minor injuries when he slipped and fell on the steep hillside.
No structures were threatened.
Fire crews plan to be at the scene until about 7:00 a.m. putting out hot spots.
