Fresno car crash knocks doctor's office off its foundation

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The crash happened near Millbrook and Spruce. Fresno Police say a man drove through a stop sign, hit a tree, and went airborne -- before he hit the doctor's office. Both the tree and the car ended up inside the office.

The driver was not seriously hurt but is in the hospital. Doctor Andy Schroeder says luckily his office wasn't open yet.

"He hit pretty hard and took out a palm tree and pushed it right into the side of the building. So it was lucky nobody was in there. it wiped out two rooms," said Dr. Andy Schroeder, Chiropractor.

Police say the driver of the car may have been on a medication that made him drowsy, but they are still investigating the exact cause of the crash.
