Carjacking suspect detained in Fresno

Fresno police have detained a man who they say is the suspect in a carjacking over the weekend. Investigators say they spotted the stolen car around midnight and tried to pull it over. When the driver wouldn't stop, a short chase began.

The driver and a passenger ended up jumping from the vehicle near Cedar and Kenmore in Central Fresno. They both ran, but one of the men was detained by police a short time later. The other was able to get away.
