CHP responds to man hit by car near Sanger, finds him dead with gunshot wounds

SANGER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County deputies are investigating a homicide after the body of a man was found at Lincoln and Newmark, south of Sanger.

Investigators said the call first came into 911from a passerby who thought the man was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. When CHP officers arrived on scene they realized a lot of the trauma on the man looked more like gunshot wounds, which detectives later confirmed.

Detectives had crime scene and forensic investigators on the scene.
