Community Food Bank, Poverello House receive $25K donations

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two local nonprofit organizations received generous donations on Sunday to help better serve the community.

The Fresno Buddhist Temple presented the Community Food Bank and the Poverello House with checks for $25,000 each. The money was raised by members of the Buddhist Churches of America to help make an impact on communities across the country.

Organizers say giving back to those in need is a crucial part of being a part of the community, and they hope to do more in the future.
