Crews battle house fire in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crews say the fire started in the bedroom and is under investigation.

Fresno Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire on Beechwood Avenue and Harrison Avenue, near Palm and Herndon, in Northwest Fresno. They said the fire started in the bedroom of an elderly couple's home. The couple was able to make it out of the house without any injuries.

The Red Cross will be assisting the couple. Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.
