FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A facility that helps women and their children overcome difficult times is set to close next month.

The pastor at New Life International Ministries in Delhi started a recovery and sober living center five years ago. It currently houses five women and their children. But it has served more than 60 clients since opening.

The women pay a small fee to stay there, but church leaders say they don't have the money needed to repair and maintain the building. They're concerned it may become a health and safety risk, so they plan to close December 1, 2014.

"Some of the women have places to go, if not, especially because of the holiday season we've said there's nobody going to be without a home," said Greg McCurdy, a church advisory board member. "That's the big concern of ours right now is to make sure they have a place to go and people to care for them through these holidays seasons."

Church advisory board members say it's very unlikely they could raise enough money to keep the center open. But if you would like to make a donation to help the women and children relocate, you can find the contact information below.
