FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some 1,600 children in Tulare County could use your help as we head into the holiday season. All the kids are in the foster care system and range from newborns to 18-years-old.
Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency hopes to give each child a gift for Christmas. Workers say the greatest need is in the pre-teen to newborn range. They say the funding for foster kids covers food and clothing -- but there is little to stretch for presents.
Marilyn Kinoshita with Friends of Tulare County said, "You've got kids in need, they've been through some pretty rough times they're in foster care they may not get a Christmas."
You can bring any unwrapped toys to one of the drop off locations in Tulare County.
Information about individual kids and their wish lists are available on the Friends of Tulare County website. You'll also find specific details on drop off locations.
