Driver shot near school in Southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man driving in Southwest Fresno was wounded in a shooting. It happened Monday afternoon on Belgravia Avenue near Computech Middle School.

Fresno police say the man was driving down the road, when he was suddenly shot in the leg. The victim pulled into the school parking lot, where staff helped him until paramedics arrived. He was taken to the hospital but is not being cooperative with investigators.

Some students were still on campus at the time, and the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution. They were taken to the cafeteria but have since been escorted from the school.

Police have not released any suspect information.
