Eight people are looking for a new place to live after an early morning fire damaged their home.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Eight people are looking for a new place to live after an early morning fire damaged their home.

The blaze broke out around 1:30 a.m. on Monday at a home on Fifth Street and Orleans Avenue in Southeast Fresno. The residents were alerted to the fire when someone inside smelled smoke coming from the attic.

Fire crews believe the cause may be electrical. There were no injuries reported.
