FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police seized guns from a man who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars in property from the Big Fresno Fair.

Fresno police say John Heinrich worked for 14 years as a maintenance supervisor at the Big Fresno Fair. During that time they believe the 45-year-old stole a lot of money. When officers arrested him they seized two rifles and two handguns.

"We wanted to get these from him because of concerns about workplace violence and retaliation," said Sgt. Mark Hudson.

Investigators have released surveillance video of Heinrich at the recycling facility.

"You'll see he's taking wire he took from the Fresno Fairgrounds where he's able to turn that wire in for over $800," added Sgt. Hudson.

The evidence seen in the video helped officers serve search warrants at his three homes including a house boat at Pine Flat Lake.

"On his house boat in Pine Flat Lake a lot of the work was done. Solar panels, flooring, hot water heaters, air conditioners. We were able to collect a lot of property from the fair which was stolen by him," said Sgt. Hudson.

Heinrich is accused of stealing at least $10,000 in property from the fairgrounds. He was arrested but has since bailed out.
