Fire destroys apartment in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is without a home after his apartment caught fire.

Fire crews were called to the apartment near Fountain Way and Maple Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators said the person living there left food on the stove, and then left his apartment. When he came back, there were large flames fueled by pine trees above the building.
