FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters say fireworks caused a blaze at Clovis and Olive avenues.

The fire broke out just after 10:30 p.m. on Fourth of July. Firefighters were able to get a handle on it moments after their arrival.

Several homeless people nearby were evacuated from the area. No arrests were made and no one was hurt.

This is just one of several small grass fires across the city that kept firefighters busy during the holiday. Authorities say resources were drawn down so low that for about two hours they didn't respond anything but fire calls.

All grass fires were declared under control around midnight and medical aid response was resumed.
