FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Valley veteran and longtime veterans advocate Charlie Waters is being remembered. Flags on city property in Fresno were flown at half-staff on Friday in his honor.
The Department of Veterans Affairs says Waters died on Thursday at the VA Hospital in Fresno. Waters served in the Marine Corps in the 1950s and saw combat in Korea. He played a critical role in the opening of the Fresno veterans home.
Funeral services and memorials are still being arranged.
