Fresno Bee to move printing and packaging operations to Sacramento in August
The Fresno Bee is moving it's printing and packaging operations, but they will still have a presence in the Valley.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Bee is moving it's printing and packaging operations, but they will still have a presence in the Valley. And the popular Kids Day fundraiser will continue.

The newspaper announced Wednesday it will move some operations to the Sacramento Bee beginning August 1st. The move means the elimination of 27 full-time and 57 part-time positions.

President and publisher Tom Cullinan said The Bee will remain a seven-day-a-week printed newspaper, but will continue to grow digitally. Cullinan added Thursday it will have no impact on the special Kids Day newspaper which was printed in Fresno and sold all over the Valley to raise money for Valley Children's Hospital. It will now be handled by the press operation in Sacramento.
