Fresno County court clerk gets jail time, probation for witness intimidation
A Fresno County Superior Court clerk learned her punishment on Monday for intimidating a witness.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno County Superior Court clerk learned her punishment on Monday for intimidating a witness. Christina Lugo was sentenced to 180 days in Fresno County Jail and two years formal probation.

Investigators say Lugo teamed up with Ricky Modesto to scare a man Modesto is accused of assaulting in 2014. During that assault, they say Modesto broke his victim's jaw and knocked out several teeth.

Detectives believe soon after his arrest, Modesto reached out to Lugo and asked her to make calls to get three people to intimidate the victim.
