FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno firefighters continue to work without a contract. In a closed door meeting Wednesday afternoon, union members rejected a plan put together by union leaders and the city.

The contract called for firefighters to pay more for their health insurance and retirement benefits. But firefighters note they've already made more than 13 million in concessions.

A spokesperson for firefighters told Action News they don't want to fix city's problems.

The city council now wants to impose a contract. Thursday, the council will go into closed session to vote on whether to do so.
