Fresno Police say a boy and a young woman were shot during a vigil on Friday night.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police say a boy and a young woman were shot during a vigil on Friday night. It happened near Barstow and San Pablo where two men were murdered one day earlier.

Balloons, candles, and bullet holes are what's left of a violent week on San Pablo Avenue.

"When we got here the street was littered with rounds and there was shell casings and rounds littered all over," said Sgt. Justin Hoagland of the Fresno Police Department.

He said there's been two shootings in just two nights on this block. On Thursday two brothers -- only 19 and 18 years old -- were shot and killed. Then during a vigil for the victims, police said the victim's sister and a 14-year-old boy were gunned down. The brutality is forcing police to intensify its presence in this neighborhood. And some neighbors, are scared to come home.

"I think they're looking for another place to live so I think that says a lot about how this neighborhood's changed," said neighbor Jessica Fujita.

Others don't have the option to leave. Like one woman who doesn't want us to show her face or the faces of her four children.

"You don't want them looking over their shoulder. But you don't want to lie to them and tell them everything is okay when it's clearly not," said the woman.

Many of the neighbors say the recent violence is unusual for this area. Now the fear of danger is all too real for this woman's young daughter.

"She's traumatized. She came home and saw, things that no little kid should ever see. I wouldn't let them watch it on TV. And it's almost in their front yard," said the woman.

Police officers said the heavy patrols here will continue until shootings stop.

The two shooting victims from Friday's vigil are both expected to be okay. Police are searching for four suspects -- one of whom may drive a burgundy Ford Taurus.
