Fresno Police investigating a homicide in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police said they are investigating a homicide that happened around 5 p.m. Friday on Holt Avenue and Fairmont Avenue, in the area of Shaw Avenue and Marks Avenue in Northwest Fresno.

Police said a man in the alley was approached by several men. After a verbal argument, multiple shots were fired at the victim. Investigators say the man died on the way to the hospital.

This is the 10th murder of the year in the City of Fresno. At this time last year, there were 14. Police say the shooting appears to be gang-related, but investigators would like your help.
