FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is behind bars after Fresno police say he stabbed his roommate with a steak knife.
It happened Wednesday at an apartment complex near Van Ness and Belmont avenues in Central Fresno.
Investigators say Howard Ladwig, 62, was trying to sleep when the man he was living with was being too loud. Police say Ladwig grabbed a steak knife and stabbed his roommate in the back. The victim then ran to a nearby market where he had the clerk notify police.
Ladwig was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
