Fresno residents stand in solidarity with Venezuela protesters
President Maduro argues that the constituent assembly is the only way to help Venezuela out of its economic and political crisis that has sparked protests nationwide.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Protesters set up a booth in opposition to the Venezuelan government's agenda.

Polling booths similar to these were put up in 100 countries as organizers say it was a way to show the world that millions are ready for change and an end of suppression.

"What we're trying to accomplish is try to get Venezuela freedom, the same freedom we have here," activist Rangel Melendez said. "We have many people from throughout the Valley, and we're all coming together to show that we want freedom."
