Crews worked quickly to put out a large grass fire that broke out early Wednesday morning.

Crews worked quickly to put out a large grass fire that broke out early Wednesday morning.

The fire burned an area of Fresno County near Behymer and DeWolf. Fire officials said no structures were threatened. Investigators will begin looking for the cause of the fire later this morning.

Crews were called out to the fire around 1:30 a.m., but they say it was burning for some time before that. Due to early staffing this season , fire officials say they were able to work quickly to get the fire out.

As of early Wednesday morning, crews were still mopping up hot spots.
