Group holds free dental care event

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- At least 100 adults received free dental care Saturday in Fresno.

Willow Dental Group held a free dental care event at their office on Willow Avenue. Adults 18 and over were provided with their choice of a free extraction, filling or cleaning.

A crew of more than 30 people helped as many patients as they could before 4 p.m.

Organizers have done this for the past four years and say it's something they know is needed in the community. "A lot of people come in and they know that they have an extraction, a filling that needed to be replaced a long time ago, and it's just not money that a lot of people allocate to get done. So, this is definitely filling a need in our community and we're very happy to do that," Tracy Anderson with the dental group said.

A kids event will be held in September.
