OROSI, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Tulare County Sheriff's Office is working to figure out how a Miami man ended up dead at the bottom of a valley canal.

Last Friday, men fishing in the Friant-Kern canal north of Orosi discovered the car with 31-year-old Omar Bogle's body inside. The Tulare County Sheriff's Department says that car belonged to Bogle.

Monday afternoon, deputies tracked down and began questioning 28-year-old Ulises Jimenez, of Orosi. On May 6th, a witness reported seeing Bogle get in a white PT Cruiser with Jimenez and three other men of Jamaican descent.

"We're looking into the possibility that Mr. Bogle was involved in the marijuana trade, an international trade stemming from our local communities here all the way to Miami, Florida," said Tulare County Sheriff's Office Lt. Rob Schimph.

Bogle was last seen in the Orosi/Cutler area. Schimph says it's possible Jimenez was part of that same marijuana trade.

This death marks the 11th homicide in Tulare County this year.
