Investigators arrest arson suspect in Prather

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Douglas Riley, 52, of Prather was arrested on Monday after authorities say he set two fires near the intersection of Auberry Road and Powerhouse Road in Auberry on Sunday.

Riley was booked into the Fresno County Jail on Monday and faces two counts of "Arson to Forest Lands."

"CAL FIRE works diligently in arson cases to aggressively investigate and prosecute those suspected of intentionally starting fires," said Chief Mark A. Johnson of CAL FIRE Fresno Kings Unit.

The fires burned about 2.5 acres of dry brush and trees.
