Jerry Tarkanian admitted to Las Vegas hospital for pneumonia

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Former Fresno State Basketball Coach Jerry Tarkanian is in the hospital tonight.

Our ABC station in Las Vegas spoke with his family who confirmed he was admitted to the hospital there suffering from pneumonia.

Tarkanian became ill this morning and was having a hard time breathing.

Doctors are checking for a collapsed lung -- along with a variety of other tests for any other issues.

Tarkanian was also hospitalized for pneumonia earlier this year.
