Land a job with Scelzi Enterprises

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Scelzi Enterprises have been providing jobs for Central Valley residents for the past 35 years. The truck manufacturing company was featured in our Made in the Valley series last November, and since then they say they've seen a big jump in business.

Partner and owner of Scelzi Enterprises, Gary Scelxi, says there has been a sudden growth in their business.

"Right now, as of last march our business has doubled in the truck body manufacturing industry," said Scelxi. "With all the construction, all the freeways and all the roads torn up all the big construction companies need to buy new trucks"

The company is looking to fill close to 30 positions that range from accounting and administrative work to welding and maintenance. The positions are full-time to part-time and offer medical benefits, paid time off, and retirement plans.

Applicants, like Juan Lorenzana traveled from as far as Atwater to Thursday morning's job fair to apply.

Lorenzana said, "It's been kind of tough in this economy, but hopefully with the skills that I have I'll land a good job, and it seems like this is a pretty good place where I could probably land one."

Scelxi says the company is looking for people that will be dedicated to their jobs and the company.

"We want to hire the best people because we want them here long term," said Scelxi. "We want them to retire at Scelzi Enterprises."
