Livingston planning commissioner honored a year after his death
Residents in the North Valley are remembering a city leader who died one year ago Saturday.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Residents in the North Valley are remembering a city leader who died one year ago Saturday. Livingston Planning Commissioner Michael Silva was killed in a motorcycle crash at the age of 35.

His family and local officials gathered for a ceremony at Joseph Gallo Park on Saturday. They planted a tree and unveiled a plaque in his honor.

Silva's family is very involved in the community, including his father who is the city clerk, and his brother-in-law who is a council member.

His mother, wife and young daughter also took part in the ceremony.
