Young inventors show off projects at Fresno Mini Maker Faire

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Little kids and big kids had an opportunity to experience Fresno's greatest outdoor show and tell at Chukchansi Stadium.

It was the fourth annual Mini Maker Faire on Sunday, and it was a chance for inventors to show off their latest work and a chance for those who want to invent something to get ideas from others.

It's also an opportunity for kids to learn about math, science and technology outside the classroom in a fun environment.

"We've got kids building rockets, we've got adults that do things out of ceramics and glass electronics," Scott Kramer with Fresno Ideaworks said. "You name it, people are making it out here."

Kramer says Ideaworks allows people of differing creative abilities to come together and learn from one another. The non-profit offers classes in wood, metal, welding and ceramics.

Next Sunday is Robot Sunday at Fresno High School, and it's the final Fresno Ideaworks event of the season.
