Man, 21, shot in the neck in East Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A young man is in critical condition after being shot in the neck in East Central Fresno. It happened on Hedges Avenue near Peach Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Fresno police say the 21-year-old victim lives at the apartment complex in that area. He was able to speak to officers briefly before being treated at the hospital, but told them he did not recognize the shooter. Detectives are still working to identify the suspect.
