Man accused of shooting 2 Merced County teens found not guilty
Johnny Munoz was on trial for two counts of attempted murder.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Johnny Munoz was on trial for two counts of attempted murder.

Merced County detectives say Johnny Munoz was one of four gang members who opened fire on Monica Garcia and Justin Gonzales in Planada back in 2010 -- because Gonzales happened to be wearing a blue sweatshirt. Gonzales was struck in the back, and Garcia was hit in the head, but both survived.

On Friday, jurors reached their not guilty verdict for Munoz. All of the other three defendants have pleaded guilty to lesser charges and are facing at least 11 years in prison.
