FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police have revealed frightening details about a break-in attempt at the home of City Council Member Clint Olivier while he and his family where inside the house.
Investigators say they arrested Gary Lacomb, 34, of Clovis after he reportedly tried to kick in the door of the Olivier home in Central Fresno. According to the police report, the suspect also threw potted plants at Olivier's car.
Police say they found the suspect hiding in some bushes armed with pruning shears. It's unclear what may have led to the incident.
Olivier released the following statement to Action News:
"This was an incredibly frightening ordeal where a dangerous criminal nearly gained entry in to my home. We are thankful for the work of the Fresno Police Department and the expressions of concern from many of our friends and neighbors."
