Man arrested after Visalia hash oil explosion

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters rushed to a home in Central Visalia on Friday after an explosion caused by illegal drug manufacturing.

Investigators say vapors from hash oil caught fire and exploded. It happened at a home on West Howard Avenue and Sowell Street. Most of the back of the house caught fire with lots of smoke inside.

Marcos Amaro, 22, was arrested for manufacturing hash oil.

Investigators say the fire caused $100,000 in damage.
