Man critically injured in shooting near Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is in the hospital following an overnight shooting near Fresno State.

The shooting happened a little after 2 a.m. Thursday in the area of San Bruno near Barstow in Northeast Fresno. Officers say when they arrived, they found a gunshot victim.

That person was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Downtown Fresno in critical condition. Police are looking for the gunman and a motive in the shooting.
