Authorities said the 58-year-old man was speeding northbound on Highway 41 when he drove through a red light at Crane Valley Road and collided with a Ford truck that was making a left turn.

A man is dead Saturday after crashing his motorcycle into a truck in Oakhurst, the Madera County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said the 58-year-old man was speeding northbound on Highway 41 when he drove through a red light at Crane Valley Road and collided with a Ford truck that was making a left turn.

Medical crews airlifted the man to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno but he died before they arrived, an MCSO official said.

Authorities also responded to a stabbing that killed a man less than a mile away from the crash and investigators are looking into if the two incidents are related.
