Man dead after running stop sign in Madera County
The California Highway Patrol said a 25-year-old man failed to stop for the sign and broadsided another car.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A driver is dead after running a stop sign and hitting another car in Madera County.

It happened shortly before 7 a.m. on Road 19 at Avenue 14.

The California Highway Patrol said a 25-year-old man failed to stop for the sign and broadsided another car.

The 18-year-old man in that car was taken to the hospital.

The man that ran the sign died at the scene.
