FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 56- year-old man was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Central Fresno.
It happened at about 11:30 Tuesday morning at First Street and Olive Avenue. When police arrived they found the man laying on the road with severe head trauma. His injuries are considered life-threatening.
A 1996 Toyota Corolla was also at the scene with damage to the front end and a smashed windshield.
The 64-year-old female driver of the Toyota is not believed to be at fault.
Witnesses said the pedestrian walked into the road suddenly without watching for traffic.
