Man injured in Orange Cove shooting, suspect at large

ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Orange Cove police are investigating a shooting that injured a young adult man late Saturday afternoon.

The shooting happened near D Street and 10th Street just after 5 p.m. on Saturday. Police said the victim was shot several times in the chest. The victim was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. He is stable and investigators believe he will recover from his injuries.

"At this point we don't know if it's gang related but we're not ruling that possibility out," said Cpl. Roldan Deleon, Orange Cove Police Department.

Authorities say they're following several leads, but don't have a suspect in custody.
