Man kidnapped, sexually assaulted 12-year-old girl, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man is in jail after being accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

Authorities say 50-year-old Luis Ramirez kidnapped the girl from the front yard of her home Saturday morning. They say he then sexually assaulted her in his truck and threatened to kill her family if she told anyone.

Investigators say Ramirez is an acquaintance of the victim's father. He faces several charges, including kidnapping and felony sexual assault.
