The Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a driver south of Selma.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a driver south of Selma.

It happened on Highway 43 south of Mountain View Avenue. CHP says the driver in a Chevy Tahoe, was heading northbound, when he crossed over the lanes and drove into two poles. Officers say one pole went through the windshield and killed the driver. The crash also took down some power lines.

Highway 43 was closed for a couple of hours on Monday morning while PG&E repaired the power poles. The highway has since reopened.

No other cars were involved in the collision.
