Man killed in shooting at Southeast Fresno apartment complex

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A homicide investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in Southeast Fresno on Friday.

Fresno police responded to a disturbance at the Torrey Ridge Apartments in the 200 block of South Clovis Avenue around 6:30 p.m. After receiving additional calls of shots fired, officers arrived and found a middle-aged man who had been shot numerous times.

Officers began CPR and then paramedics took over. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

One person was detained for questioning but has not been arrested, according to police.
