Man killed in suspected DUI crash in Fresno County
Authorities say the driver of a Honda was killed after he blew through a stop sign at McKinley and Rolinda Avenues and was broadsided.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is dead after it's believed he was driving drunk in Fresno County Tuesday.

California Highway Patrol officers say the man was behind of the wheel of a Honda Accord when he blew through a stop sign at McKinley and Rolinda Avenues.

A Chevrolet Suburban was traveling west on McKinley at the time and broadsided the Honda.

The driver of the Honda died at the scene.

Investigators believe he was under the influence at the time of the crash.

"We located several empty containers of alcohol in the Honda, and some are type cans of beer around the Honda, but based upon the fact the driver sustained fatal injuries, there's no way to determine the extent of his intoxication," Sgt. Mike Trenholmd with CHP said.

The other driver was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
