Man rams vehicle into Fresno business, escapes with safe
Fresno police want your help to identify the criminal who they say rammed his car into a local business and then escaped with a safe.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police want your help to identify the criminal who they say rammed his car into a local business and then escaped with a safe.

"The actual damage to the door frame was a lot more. It was caved in more. We ended up having to pound it out that night just so we can shut the door," said Sean O'Brien-Lang.

O'Brien-Lang wants to open up an auto body shop but instead he's fixing a damaged building.

Fresno police shared surveillance video which they say shows a driver in a stolen light colored pick-up crash into the front door. Seconds later, a man gets out and runs inside. Cameras capture him disappearing into a back room and then coming out with a safe.

"He is not in the business very long. Maybe he has been there before, maybe he is part of the business or an employee in the past. We don't know that but certainly he knows where to go," said Sgt. Mark Hudson.

Sgt. Hudson told us the suspect left the stolen truck behind and was picked up and escaped with another driver. O'Brien-Lang says the safe they stole didn't contain any cash.

He added, "There was a lot of money that could have been taken which is why I know with that being the only thing that was taken it was a retaliation job," said O'Brien-Lang.

The Fresno father of three believes someone he's testifying against is now sending others to intimidate him from jail. He refuses to drop the charges and wants anyone who knows who the suspect is to step forward.

He said, "If I drop the charges that tells every criminal out there that if you just send somebody to intimidate somebody, you'll get your way."

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact police.
